After recharging, I hit the road early, in hopes that a mechanic could fit me in and determine if I had a major enough problem to not put the car on the boat. After a long early day through the rest of Idaho and Oregon, I made it to Yakima. I took the car into the dealership and told them that I only had two hours to make a decision on continuing on or heading back to Denver. The determined that it was a solenoid shifter and they could not fix it right then. After deciding that it was worth the risk, I moved on, trying to make the sailing time.
After Yakima, it's a straight drive to the coast, turn north through Seattle and it's another hour up to Bellingham and the port. After a little paperwork, and a long line of cars, I loaded the car up on the lift and said goodbye to Hueona.
I made my way via shuttle back to Seattle, where I met up with my good friends Tyler and Tiffany, and there new baby Landon. They were so gracious in having me stay for the weekend. It was a relaxing weekend, went to the Pike Place Market and had a little fun with the pig. We bought some oysters and headed back to make Oysters ala Tom, becoming evermore popular everyday. It was a great weekend to see some old friends and enjoy the life they have made. They both make amazing working parents, and look forward to spending time with them again. For now it's back to Denver, to head to my sisters med school graduation, picker her up and go meet Hueona in Alaska.
