If it isn't Tok don't fix it.

We debated staying in the comfy beds for another day and ordering room service, but thought it better to head south, towards North Pole, Alaska.  We took the Richardson highway on a overcast and rainy day.  The weather didn't cooperate too much, so we continued to press on.  A tip from my boss took us south on the Richardson  to take the Glenn Highway which runs adjacent to Mt. Elias National Park.  Once we reached the Glenn highway, we turned east, leaving the pipeline for the last time.

The weather didn't provide many views, but all was not lost, as the wildlife came out.  I almost hit a porcupine, but got out of the car quick enough to see it ramble off into the bush.  At another point along the road, we looked up to see a bald eagle flying over head.  We stopped, and when another one showed up we followed them to a point where they grasped talons mid air and tumbled toward the ground, releasing each other at the last minute.  One of them stayed around and we watched the majestic bird for a few minutes and enjoyed the serenity.  We made it to Tok and due to the rain, decided to crash at the Golden Bear Lodge.  Still tired from the day before, we decided to see if a movie would be on.  We ended up watching a movie that we deemed a combination of Crouching Tiger, Princess Bride, and Sherlock Holmes.  It had characters named Detective Dee, Jin'Ger, and Dr. Donkey Wang.  Later we would find out that it was called Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame.  Amazing, check it out!
