Welcome to eCLOUDor

I left my sister in the care of my friend (good idea, not sure). I set out early, as trying to get as far as I could the first day. I have three days to get up to Quito to meet my good friends Liz and Newman. I burned rubber, picking up a group of locals, making the drive a little less monotonous, and helping with my Spanish. I dropped them off at the junction with the Panamerican highway, and headed north. Made one stop for the night in Peru and the next day hit the border about noon. I was a little disappointed to find out the Ecuadorian customs computers were down. I was informed that there was a guy coming to fix them in an hour and I would have to wait. Sometimes in South America things take a little time. After talking to me for a hour, they sent me into town (on the Ecuadorian side) to change money. When I got back, he offered to buy my car, after explaining that I need the car to get home, he decided that the computers were working. He processed my paperwork and off I went. Upon leaving the border, I entered a cloud. An hour later after not being able to see more than 36 feet, I broke free. I wouldn´t again see the full sun untill entering Quito. I drove by alot of interesting signs, one of which I had no idea what it was, and after asking a few Ecuadorians, realized that no one really knows what it is! I initially wanted to stay in a town called Cuenca, but due to the delay I had to stay in Loja (this would later prove to be quite a bummer). I figured Cuenca was only an hour more drive, given the distance and the road conditions so far. What I didn´t take into account is that fact that I was wrong. I didn´t role into Quito until after 7 (after dark!). I found my friend Newman´s apartment building. And headed into get her to let me park in her garage below.........
