ith my muscles aching and my blisters under control, Laura and I headed back into the park. This time we took a car and got to see some of the farther reaches of the park. We started the day by headed to the cueva del Miladon, it is a cave where archaeologists discovered the remains of an ancient sloth like creature that stood over 3m high.
There is a replica and I had to give it a hug, it has been six years since I last hugged old Milly.
We then headed in to the park.
Surprisingly we saw more wildlife from the car and short hikes than we did while Nick and I trekked through the park (we never saw the mouse that Nick loved so much). We got to see
hawks,
guanacos, ñandus, and
sleepy grey foxes. I am so fortunate to get to come back to such an amazing place. Tomorrow we start the drive up the Atlantic coast, heading back to Buenos Aires, with a few stops along the way.
Good bye Torres, maybe again in another six years!
