e woke up to a beautiful morning, a little brisk though! We headed to Punto Chicao where we took a boat across the lakes to a place in the park where the Alerces trees grow. We cruised by glaciers barilly hanging on to the rocks just above the lakes. We took a few hour hike th

orest, seeing much of the native vegetation the park has to offer

, along with mineral rich lakes of a crystal clear variety. They have a really interesting tree that has a orange-red bark and is really vibrant amongst all the green.

We also got to see a tree that was estimated to be around 2600 years old. Laura commented that the tree was older than Jesus... obviously, Jesus was only around 30 years old.
We were with a group of around 40. In Latin America it is quite common to show affection to your loved on in public. I found out really quick to not stop too long at the back of the group taking photos, as I found myself amongst a makeout session, I didn´t know what to do, so I stared at some bamboo

untill I could move on. We didn´t see one couple for about an hour.... hmm!
After the boat, we checked out the rest of the park and then decided to move on to Esquel, another small town on our way south. Tomorrow we have alot of driving ahead of us, so I am going to bed.
